Then we went out of the country for two weeks. The pool was supposed to be completed while we were gone, but it wasn't. On the bright side, it rained, and now we have the beginnings of grass!

I'm wondering what happens to the blog after we close :) Anyways - today we did pest control (supposed to get rid of the scorpions and ants), security monitoring set up, and final pool inspection. They also finished the coping (grouted the seams and edges), and they're supposed to finish the lights, drains, and grading for the pool tomorrow. In the mean time, here are some pics from yesterday.

And we found out one of the pipes in the weeping wall is cracked. So they have to fix it. The equipment is still on though, so we can still swim. Since the plumber is coming back, they're also going to extend the drain for us, so it's not so close to the foundation. But here are some pictures anyway.

Today we got garage door openers, tomorrow we get a fence. We're also moving in, slowly but surely. Pool "pre-plaster" walk-through happens on Friday, so they may really be done next week. We'll see.

We got the fridge, washer, dryer, water softener, and we also got tv and low voltage/security remotes installed. Plus, they poured the pool deck, and finished the tile, and weeping wall.
