Only preliminary foundation plumbing happened at the lot today, and our first inspection! Apparently our foundation is a "two pour" foundation, so the inspector came out to take a look and some measurements before they pour anything. We'll get our first report tonight :)

This is the inside of what we think is the main line into the house. The water softener loop will be close to this pipe (in the utility room). Below is the outside of this same pipe.

This is the inside of what we think is the septic outflow. According to the septic plans, the washouts are on the other side of this wall (which is a closet). Below is the outside, for now.

All of this has led to some pretty weird 'under-house' holes, which we're sure will be filled eventually.

I never heard of two-pour foundation, and the nerd I am, I went and googled it immediately! There is a beautiful diagram detailing the differences in one of the Google books "The professional practice of architectural working drawings" pg 149. :) I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!

That's a GREAT idea, I don't know what it is either. I'll check out that book, thanks!
