More dirt...

A LOT of work happened today, so we were quite pleased when we stopped by, plus, we got to meet more neighbors! They have an eight year old, so they were really hoping we have kids...lol...

As Fuz commented, when they are working, they definitely do a lot of work. Pics!

For some reason, the slideshow isn't showing up on the site (although it is in the editing mode) - so I have to redo today and last night as a gallery. Remember, click on the thumbnails to see the captions!

If you still having doubts about the level of the foundation, go borrow a leveler and see for yourself, it is quite possible that it look uneven because the ground is not level so it tricks the eye.

And I am hoping the dirt fill-back is going to be compacted before the concrete is poured for the floor because dirt have a nasty habit of settling. :-P

And you now have a very good idea of how BIG the house is going to be with the foundation built.... wait until the walls goes up and you walking around going "Oh gosh, the rooms are BIG!"

Yes, we did that with my phone, the problem is the dirt isn't even across the foundation, so you can't just measure in one spot. I trust them...sort of.

The fill isn't exactly "dirt", but yes, we think they're supposed to compact it today, after the plumbing guys do the trenches and rough plumbing. But today's Good Friday, so we'll see...

Funny you should mention about the size, I said to Fuz last night that it seems "small" again...LOL! Like I look at one end to the other, and I can't believe in some places 2 rooms AND a hall are going to fit in that space. But I realized I'm just really bad at picturing what it'll be like, so I'm waiting for the walls before I decide.
