They finished the coping yesterday, and placed a few more rocks. No pics, but I'll take some today.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It takes 100 days to build a house! I didn't stop by yesterday, But Fuz said there was a paint crew there - probably taking care of the interior touch-ups and the exterior corrections/finishes. No progress on the pool. We have made arrangements to set up utilities on Monday, so we're pretty much done!
We have our final walk-through tomorrow, mostly everything's done. Should be getting keys on Friday!
My nephew got to see the house for the first time on Friday afternoon (he was really excited to see the new house Uncle Fuz and I had been "making" for so long - he's an avid follower of this blog.) What a hoot! He didn't mind us telling him that the understair closet was his room, "Come into my elevator room!" and he thought the dining room & view were "so BEAUTIFUL!" He also didn't mind swimming in the pool with absolutely no water in it. We had lots of fun. As usual, we didn't see anyone there yesterday, but here are all the pics! I've been away for a few days - which they spent touching up and finishing off. These pics are from my phone, so I apologize for the quality. The first 4 are from last night, the last two were this afternoon. Some folks worked today, although they were gone by the time we got there at 1. |
