Resting on the 7th Day

Not much happened today, but even He took a break on day 7! We did have a chance to talk to the neighbors this evening though, which was nice. We talked a lot about the tricky soil in the area, and the foundation woes that we're probably avoiding by building the "super foundation" that we are. They mentioned the name of a high speed internet provider in the area. And we talked about fencing, and the fact that we both hope the last lot that's currently empty and unsold remains empty - even if it gets sold. They're nice, and it's good to know they're friendly and looking out for us - they told us how late the crew stayed last night, and how early they came in this morning. They're both in real estate, and they told us how quickly it'll go after the frame goes up (same thing T commented on in an earlier post - keep those comments coming, I love them!)

We did choose a phase inspector, and he and the builder are in touch, so we can cross that off our list, thankfully. Only a few more calls to make (both pool related), to the pool company and the homeowners' association, and then everything really will be on its own schedule - with all decisions made.

Anyways, I promised a slideshow today, and I do have a few pics of what did actually happen today, so without further ado (M need not view - it's all dirt :P)...

I was looking at the pictures of the trenches and I noticed that in 2nd and 3rd pictures, the trenches looking curvy, that is just the camera, right?

And u do have to admire the workers if they can dig out 6-feet trenches by hand and they did it fast. LOL, I am still amazed by the pace at which the work is progressing. It is almost like a "tiger vs snail" comparison when comparing your construction to Toco construction. LOL

Yeah, the curviness is just cos I where I was standing to take the picture, I think.

They guy who was digging the trench was actually the shortest of the crew, so we didn't even see him in there at first! It looks like very hard work - and every time we stop by when they're there, they're always working, they're never slacking off.
